Nikon Coolpix S1

The Nikon Coolpix S1 has almost unbelievable performance and resolution for its tiny size. At just 188g, it may be the same size as one of those cheapo mini digital cameras that you can buy for £45, but that's where the similarities end. Nikon have managed to pack a huge 5.1 Megapixels of resolution in to this tiny little camera. The non protruding lens also helps cut down the bulk of the Coolpix S1 and is capable of 3x optical zoom and if you really need, a 4x digital zoom. The Coolpix S1 also features a 1.8fps picture rate, which is quite fast for a camera of this size.

Coolpix S1 features include:

• Face-priority AF function - automatically detects faces in the frame for well-focused portraits in any situation. Wherever the face is in the picture, you are guarranteed a clear image.
  
  
• Internal red-eye correction software, that is exclusive to Nikon, will automatically detect and correct the red-eye effect. The function is activated automatically when the shot is taken for a perfectly natural result.
