The Cowan iAudio U3 is very similar to the highly
accomplished Cowan
iAudio U2 player which rated very highly in our previous
group test. There are two major differences between the Cowan
iAudio U3 and the U2. The U3 is the worlds first Flash
Memory mp3 player that supports FLAC files and this model
includes a colour screen that will play video at 15fps.
If we say that the average CD in FLAC (a lossless compressed
codec) form is 200-400 MB then the 2GB model will hold from
5-10 CDs and remember this is a 32.5g solid state mp3 player
not an iPod! The Cowan iAudio U3 has a 1.2", 160x128
pixel, 260k colour TFT LCD screen. The screen can be used
to view short Mpeg4 video at upto 15fps.

Other differences are listed below...
+ double the output power/watts
+ way faster upload/download
+ slightly smaller in size
